Let me just start out by saying these were SOOOOO good! I had around 5 and had to stop myself! I had a few friends over for a “girls night” and they were a huge hit. You need to try them for yourself, you just must.
I used Pure Maple Syrup, As a New England girl it’s what I grew up on. I don’t approve of fruit on my waffles, I do like it when they are showered with Vermont maple syrup, however. Locally made grade A “Amber”, if you haven’t tried pure maple syrup you sure are missing out!
The flavor, the deliciousness, the bacon! It all comes together so perfectly! So easy to make as well.
- 1 lb bacon
- 1 shot bourbon ( I used jim beam)
- 1/2 cup maple syrup (I used pure maple syrup)
Preheat oven to 350 Degrees. Mix bourbon and maple syrup, whisk until well blended. Line bacon in a flat bowl high sides ( I used a large Tupperware container) pour bourbon maple mixture over bacon and let sit for about an hour. Cut steak into small bites, not too small, small enough that it’ll fit in your mouth. After bacon has marinated, wrap a piece of bacon around steak, line oven safe pan with each one and cook for 25 minutes. Let cool down for a couple minutes and enjoy!
